With a clean install of WIndows 7 it flies but after 10 months of use and various software installs and uninstalls, it's just average.The battery life is noticeably lower than when new. It also runs both Windows and Linux, Fedora has it well covered with drivers off the standard package (as of Fedora 13 at least).It seem to have enough vents etc and even running under high load doesn't seem to over-heat.As downsides for this model I would point out a lack of HDMI port (though you can use an adapter solution from HP) and RS232
