Roth is my 2nd favorite front man of all time, right behind Steven Tyler, but I also love the Red Rocker, from Montrose to The Circle! Sammy wrote ALOT of good and great songs while he was in VH, along with Eddie. I know, I know already mentioned, but I have been listening to this album a lot these past few weeks and really trying to keep an open mind, but I just cannot get past the horrible vocals

He will be joined by his drummer brother, Alex (whom he loves), his bassist son (whom he loves) and vocalist Roth (with whom he has no relationship whatsoever). But that volcanic success melted into a never-ending carousel of high-profile reinvention: Vocalist David Lee Roth went solo, prompting the group to relaunch its identity with Sammy Hagar

Roth loves the art deco era, and chose Cassandre's painting of the SS Normandie for the front cover, continuing with the traveling theme that started with the locomotive on "A Different Kind Of Truth". Newly mastered versions of "Diver Down", "Women And Children First", "Van Halen II" and "Fair Warning" are now being cut (for CD, for vinyl, and for digital) for release later in spring

In the summer of 2001, Eddie told MTV News that the band's remaining members had penned a total of three albums' worth of new material and that they were still unsure of who their next singer would be. Those rumors were confirmed on August 17th when the group announced legitimate dates, along with a controversial lineup change that replaced Michael Anthony with Eddie's son Wolfgang on bass
