My doctor has put me on the public waiting list to have a surgeon do a biopsy on the lymph node under my right arm but apparently there is quite a long wait here in Australia to have this done. I've been on the new drug Xeljanz most recently, but stopped taking it because I started gaining a lot of weight in my abdomen and was excessively thirsty

I have now been in remission for 8 months but not before I had to endure 8 sessions of R-CHOP, 4 Intrathecal Methotexate sessions, 3 R-DHAP and a 6 day high dose chemo and a bone marrow transplant. The Locum Dr could not feel the same lymph nodes in my neck that she had felt the week before, but my husband and I definately could and we could even see a swelling around the collar bone

However being the cyber-chondriac I am, a few months later I started worrying about it again and went to my GP who carried out blood tests and an examination and again found nothing concerning. the reasons the docs gave you are all perfectly valid reasons for haivng permanently enlarged glands - illness as a child can indeed cause enalrged glands permanently

I'm not very good at explaining this, but I'll try my best.So, I have been feeling a bump about half an inch below my left ear (straight down from where you put an earring on) and kind of between my jaw (see I'm very bad at explaining but hope you understand), and every time i touch it i feel pain. Just from what you read the symptoms, the way it started out and all that is going on now, does this sound more like cancer to you or very severe infection? I have had swollen glands a lot in the past, since having glandualr fever as a teenager, but they only came to stay with my latest relapse a few years ago. Sometimes I noticed the swelling just in my neck and in other times it was all over my body (behind knees, groin area, arpits, etc.) Usually, it would last a few weeks to a few months and then it would go away---then I had a really bad episode witch included the swollen lymph nodes, alot of mucus from lungs and sinuses, fever and vomitting

I dont know, try not touching it for at least 3 days and that might help, nodes are sensitive and you should not irritate them. Is the swollen lymph node actually visible or you have to touch it to see where its at? On the one hand, you can go and do a test to make sure it does not contain any malignity inside itself

Got a biopsy done and it was the worst experience ever! Couldnt stop gagging and got sick all over the place They didnt get enough to do all the tests so i thought for sure they would order another test( not that I want it) and they didnt? Ive had Laryngitus 4 times in the past 3 months. Even though I never stop taking my Synthroid I'm always on the look out for ways to alleviate my symptoms as well as find more information on the disease
