So far it has been reliable and I havent experienced any of the common malfunctions: broken firing pin and laser battery cover screw backing out and jamming the slide. Its not the most expensive nor was it designed to be, just the best for the money and size....ive had them all, literally, tried all the small and large carry styles...best all around..
I couldn't find any online anywhere yesterday, but i made 1 phone call this afternoon (was planning on calling every shop in a 30 mile radius(atleast 8-10 not including pawnshops). Not to hijack this thread, but after test firing 50 through one of their range rental LCPs, I found the BG380 thanks to one of the great counter people

Bodyguard 380 trigger pull
It was a bad quality video but he really did a complete stripping and the spring you are referring to he cut in half and than stretched it out to the original size, making it less of a HARD pull. The one proviso is that it's always possible that your trigger actually has a problem that makes the pull harder than normal (it can't be longer, since it's designed to fire only after being pulled almost all the way to the trigger guard)

What is the best ankle holster for the BG with lazer? Another question is which is the best round to use for stopping power when using it for personal protection? Thanks again for your opinions. Does anyone make a magazines that holds more bullets and therefore would be longer? Reply Fred says: December 17, 2012 at 4:40 am There are so many posts about the functionality of the smith and wesson Body Guard 380

I did install the Galloway Precision trigger kit and highly recommend that if you want the most out of this little gem but tight groups at 20 to 30' are the norm. It was a booger to just get it to turn on! I'm not sure how must good this will actually do in an urgent situation...I called Smith and Wesson and they wanted the lazersight back for a replacement
But, keeping the BG clean is the big thing! Look for a mag with more capacity and a finger extension this will make your BG shoot better and also will fit most peoples hands better. I thought perhaps it was because it was a smaller weapon and my thumb was accidentally striking the magazine release so I gave it to my rangemaster, who also experienced the malfunction
