Does anyone know for sure whether any of the Rascals' nominations were officially to "The Young Rascals," and, if so, which? Bob has their nominations listed that way, but Charlie has their induction as just The Rascals. Basically, I've taken the year-by-year lists compiled by Charlie Board in 2001, and the alphabetical list put together by Bob Roman from them, and updated them and filled in missing information where relevant

Flag Anonymous on March, 17 2014 The Roots shouldn't get in because they are not a Rock group just like Michael Jordan shouldn't be in the Baseball hall of fame for playing basketball. Flag Anonymous on March, 17 2014 How the fuck u love a nigga and u don't even know any of his music Flag Anonymous on March, 17 2014 I agree this is not a race issue, the problem is that his comment unfairly singles out hip hop artists (and yes, I know he mentioned Madonna and Donna Summers but he doesn't go as far as to say they don't belong in the RRHoF) when there are already soul, reggae, and disco artists that didn't make "rock music" and are in the hall of fame

Tickets for the induction ceremony go on sale to Rock Hall members on December 17th and the general public the following day.The official fan poll voting also wrapped up on December 9th. The only consistencies are inconsistencies and the rules clearly are there are no rules because the criteria for how and who gets in is purely based upon a personal like or dislike

Shortly before her 1997 induction into the Hall of Fame, the mother and daughter had a highly emotional reunion and Mitchell skipped the Cleveland ceremony to focus on re-establishing a relationship with her child. I wish the Hall a great show, congratulations to all the other artists being inducted and to our fans we look forward to seeing you on tour!! Rose is far from the only Hall of Fame inductee to skip out on the ceremony

With clear reverence for post-punk sounds of the 80s and earning comparisons to such contemporaries as the Killers and Death Cab for Cutie, Vinyl Theatre released their debut full-length Electrogram on Fueled by Raman in 2014. An ambitious undertaking, the film is directed by Bill Pohlad who tidily splits the entire narrative arc into two distinct epochs: the musically fertile period in the 60s that produced Pet Sounds (with Wilson played by Paul Dano) and the fraught psychosis of the 80s-era rebound (with John Cusack as Wilson)

Belting out a joyously spirited version of Ronstadt's "It's So Easy" were Stevie Nicks, Carrie Underwood, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow and Glenn Frey. Riffing hard on the Chuck Berry classic "Roll Over Beethoven" -- complete with the rock luminary himself duckwalking across stage -- were Keith Richards and Neil Young on guitars
