However, if you are on a budget you could purchase the 4GB Xbox and as an upgrade path, add a 32GB USB memory stick and then a 250GB hard drive when funds allow. The 4GB model replaced the old Arcade machine and has a very limited storage due to the lack of a hard drive, whereas 250GB model with built in hard drive boasts huge amounts of storage

I am beginning to run out of space on my 2TB and found a 4TB 3.0 portable hard drive on the low so decided to give it a shot and would return if it didn't work.At first I could not get it to work - trying many different combos of formats, partition types and partition styles to no avail. I finally found a program that allowed me to change convert to FAT32 and change the cluster size (Windows does this but you cannot change the cluster size to 32 Kb)

You can recover your gamertag in the sign in window if i remember correctly, otherwise just Google Xbox 360 recover account or Xbox 360 recover gamertag. It sounds to me like either the update has screwed things up somehow or your onboard flash memory card has failed (it isn't common but if that is the case it isn't too serious as they are rather cheap to replace)

All my gamer profiles disappeared first, then all the updates and downloads I tried failed, and profiles and gaming files are continually getting corrupted

All been well you should have an unformatted hard drive show up, if your Jtagged console is Jasper with 256 or 512mb of internal storage be sure you format the actual hard drive and not the internal storage, you can tell them apart by the icon, as seen in the photo below

Published 22 days ago by SS DOES NOT WORK!!! It will not formatt This does not work for Xbox 360 because of some formatting issue it is a waste of money and time do not buy it look for ones with better reviews and search the brand because this... I think it was about 2 years ago Microsoft gave us the option to use a thumb drive to extend our console's storage (and btw, don't bother with anything bigger than 16 gigs as that is all that the Xbox 360 will register)

2011 As XBox Live brings on more services and the XBox dashboard undergoes more updates adding more functionality, the 20Gb drive of the original 360 Pro seems woefully inadequate (in fact, to be honest, 120Gb feels a bit restrictive these days). Memet on 17 April 2010 I recived my 250gig hd today and it came with transfer cable and disk preety stright forward to do.first of all unplug any thing from usb ports then insert your transfer disk in to your xbox360.then plug in the new 250gig hd via the transfer cable not on to xbox360.leave the old harddrive on xbox360.turn on xbox360 start the tranfer disk select what you want to transfer on to new 250gig hd

Can I Add a Hard Drive To The Xbox 360 4GB Model? - Microsoft Console - Neowin Forums

If for some reason you ever need to send the console in for service it would also invalidate any existing service contract if noted that a non-MS hare drive is inside. The question is: Can I add a hard drive to it? If so, which brand or kind? And is it something I can do myself without having to open the Xbox up? (is there a slot for it?) Thanks ahead for your help

But finally we are able to answer the question: is an HDMI-enabled Xbox 360 capable of outputting noticeably higher quality game play and movies? We compared our classic Xbox 360 (manufactured 2005) with our spanking' new 360 Elite (manufactured 2007). The Core version, simply did not have anywhere near enough memory to handle all your game saves and downloads, where as the Premium had a good 20GB to fill
